Responsibilities

• Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls; responds to inquiries and relays information.
• Schedules patient appointments and performs data entry of patient demographic information and insurance.
• Verifies insurance information; obtains referrals as needed for service.
• Assist patients with registering for MyChart.
• Responsible for managing high volume of telephone calls and routing to providers for review.
• Addresses all telephone messages by end of day.
• Performs (pre) registration and confirmation of patient appointments prior to date of service.
• Check in patient; verify insurance; collect and scan identification and insurance cards.
• Manage incoming faxes and route results and correspondence to appropriate provider/staff.
• Scan incoming medical records to patient MRN; respond to In basket messages from patients and providers.
