Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalency.
• 6 months of related experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and phone volume simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls; responds to inquiries per policies and procedures.
• Schedules patient appointments and performs data entry of demographics and insurance.
• Verifies insurance information and referrals required for service prior to visit.
• Assist patient with registering for MyChart.
• Responsible for managing high volume of telephone calls and routing encounters to providers for review.
• Check in patient, verify insurance, collect and scan identification and insurance cards.
