Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of related experience preferred.
• Customer service and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, relays information to patients.
• Schedules patient appointments and performs data entry of demographics and insurance.
• Verifies insurance information and referrals as needed.
• Assists with MyChart registration and handles high call volume.
• Manages referrals, faxes, and scanning of medical records.
• Collects co-pays and balances, performs simple arithmetic and deposits.
• Supports scheduling of tests and procedures and handles preauthorization.
• Responds to inquiries per policies and procedures.
