The role supports accurate charting, daily reconciliation of charges, and coordination with outside testing while ensuring patient confidentiality and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a customer service position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they enter the office and registers patients, verifies insurance, collects co-pays and balances.
• Updates patient demographics and company information.
• Answers phone and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Acts as liaison between patient and practice.
• Provides back-up for scheduling appointments.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality in daily work.
• Completes daily reconciliation to ensure charges are entered correctly.
• Prepares and files patient charts.
• Files test results after physician approval.
• Liaises with company reps to ensure correct services.
• Checks Epic chart to ensure consents and valid insurance.
