Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years experience in customer service.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1–3 years physician office experience preferred; knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and completes registration, verifies insurance information, and collects co-pays.
• Updates patient demographics and company information.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Serves as liaison between patient and practice.
• Provides back-up for scheduling and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs daily reconciliation to ensure charges are entered correctly.
• Pulls charts and readsies them for next day appointments; files completed charts daily.
• Files test/procedure results in inpatient records after physician sign-off.
