Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital seeks a Patient Service Representative to check in/out patients, collect payments, and support the front desk operations. This role supports the service area by delivering friendly service, verifying identities, and guiding patients through the visit process.

The position requires 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week, including weekends, with the goal of providing accurate scheduling and patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years experience in a customer service position.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients and guests, greeting them on arrival and providing visit information.
• Completes check-in/out functions and updates patient demographics/insurance.
• Obtains patient consents/authorizations and completes registrations as needed.
• Collects co-payments and balances, posts payments, and closes the cash drawer daily.
• Keeps waiting area clean and informs patients of delays or changes.
• Schedules appointments and, for ICCs, floats to other clinics as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
