Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years’ experience in a customer service position.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, registers them, verifies insurance information, and collects co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Answers phone and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Liaises with patients and practice to ensure accurate records and confidentiality.
• Performs daily reconciliation to ensure charges are entered correctly.
• Pulls charts and readies them for next day appointments; files completed patient charts daily.
