Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Washington state seeks a Patient Services Rep (PSR) to be the first point-of-contact in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will coordinate care, pre-register and schedule, manage messages and billing processes, and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities include appointment coordination, insurance verification, portal enrollment, and extensive communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Strong written communication and ability to spell/write legibly.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, including initial and follow-up visits and rescheduling.
• Manage multi-line phone system and direct urgent calls to clinical staff.
• Verify insurance coverage across systems and educate patients on costs.
• Enroll patients on the portal and explain its use.
• Greet patients and assist with paperwork and check-in.
• Manage appointment queues and patient outreach communications.
• Coordinate with clinical staff for emergent or add-on requests.
