Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Redmond, WA seeks a patient access team member to be the first point of contact in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will assist with pre-registration, scheduling, check-in, and billing-related tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, using Windows-based systems and Epic EMR. Prior customer service experience and HIPAA awareness are valued as you support diverse patients

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year in customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication; professional demeanor.
• Ability to problem solve, stay calm, and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, registrations and check-in for in-person or virtual visits.
• Answer multi-line phone system and direct urgent inquiries to clinical staff.
• Verify insurance and explain coverage options; enroll patients on the portal.
• Gather and relay information for referrals and patient outreach communications.
• Assist with open/close duties and ensure tidy waiting areas per safety standards.
