Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients, check in, collect co-pays and support scheduling and MyChart enrollment. You will work with physicians to ensure a smooth checkout and excellent patient experience.

Typical hours are 8:00am–5:00pm with occasional weekends and holidays. Strong customer service, basic math, and PC skills are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years in patient registration, scheduling, insurance processing or customer service; OR an Associate’s Degree with 1 year experience; OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Working knowledge of PC window applications.
• Ability to perform basic math to process co-pays.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, proactive patient and visitor experience.
• Register patients, prepare visits, handle scheduling and pre-registration.
• Assist with insurance verification and co-pay collection.
• Support with MyChart enrollment and interpreter services scheduling.
