Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience.
• One year hospital clerical or billing experience preferred.
• Higher education and training can offset requested experience.

Responsibilities

• Register, schedule and preregister patients for inpatient, emergency and outpatient services.
• Educate patients about benefit levels and collect payments at or before service.
• Review eligibility and provide patient estimates; explain out-of-pocket costs.
• Obtain, scan and index physician orders; maintain open communication with care teams.
• Cross-train to staff all areas of Patient Access and ensure productivity and quality standards.
