Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to create exceptional patient experiences from arrival to checkout. You will welcome patients, help with scheduling, register visits, verify insurance and collect co-pays, while coordinating with physicians to ensure a smooth checkout.

The role emphasizes accuracy, empathy and teamwork in a high-volume hospital setting, with Monday–Thursday shifts (7:30am–5pm) and no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in patient registration, scheduling, insurance processing or customer service.
• An associate’s degree with 1 year of experience or a bachelor’s degree also qualifies.
• Proficiency with PC windows applications and basic math for co-pays.

Responsabilités

• Welcome and check in patients and families from arrival through checkout.
• Assist with scheduling, pre-registration and MyChart enrollment.
• Verify insurance and collect co-pays; support interpreter scheduling where needed.
• Register patients, prepare visits and coordinate with physicians for smooth checkout.
