Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital seeks a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and register patients. You will maintain accurate records and support scheduling, acting as a liaison between patients and practice.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 0–2 years in customer service; a Bachelor's degree is preferred and knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Zero to two years of customer service experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One to three years prior physician office experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them, verify insurance, collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Update patient demographics and company information.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Direct and document patient calls; coordinate scheduling of outside testing.
• Serve as liaison between patient and practice.
• Provides back-up for scheduling appointments.
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality; complete daily reconciliation report.
• Pull and file patient charts; ensure documentation is complete.
