Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years’ experience in a customer service position.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• One to three years prior physician office experience recommended.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they enter the office and registers them, verifies insurance, and collects co-pays and balances.
• Updates patient demographic information and company information.
• Answers phone and schedules appointments.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients and acts as liaison between patient and practice.
• Provides back-up for scheduling and maintains patient confidentiality.
