Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Working knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they enter the office and registers them, including insurance verification and co-pays.
• Obtains and updates patient demographic information from all patients.
• Answers phone and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Serves as liaison between patient and practice and provides backup for scheduling.
• Performs daily work maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
• Reviews charges with daily reconciliation and prepares patient charts for next day.
• Files test/procedure results in the medical record after physician sign-off.
• Responds to medical record requests per protocol.
