Job summary

Health First is seeking a Patient Service Representative II to deliver friendly, efficient patient experiences by handling registration, scheduling, and basic coordination across departments. You will use our patient management system to collect demographics, verify insurance, and communicate estimated costs before services.

This role requires excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to relate well to all customers in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience with electronic health records system (EHR) OR two (2) years’ healthcare experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/CPR AED or Health First certifications within specified timelines (90 days) if applicable.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and manage schedules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work and manage time efficiently.
• Collect demographic and insurance information and input into the EHR.
• Obtain signatures on consents and distribute patient information.
• Manage schedules and coordinate changes across departments.
• Answer calls professionally and route messages accurately.
• Assist with training new staff on procedures and applications.
• Facilitate appointments and referrals in a timely manner.
• Collect and communicate estimates of anticipated prices to patients.
