Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Patient Service Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and scheduling support for the Brighton Center for Specialty Care. You will work with clinical teams to deliver an optimal patient experience, manage check-ins/outs, and assist with insurance verifications and data updates.

The role requires basic high school qualifications and strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Familiarity with MiChart (EPIC-Cadence) is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new and return patient visits.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure an ideal patient experience.
• Handle check-in/check-out and billing processes.
• Perform insurance verifications and update patient information.
• Cross-train on office duties as needed.
• Support a diverse patient population.
