Job summary

The role involves greeting patients and families, handling scheduling, co-pays, front-desk duties, HIPAA compliance and teamwork in a fast-paced onsite hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior clerical or administrative office experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with scheduling systems preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong communication and math skills for processing co-pays.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and provide prompt, caring responses to questions and requests.
• Assist with visit preparation, co-pay collection, patient tracking and other duties as assigned.
• Schedule patient visits and diagnostic tests using hospital procedures and resources.
• Manage third-party payors and collection of co-pays.
• Perform front desk duties: faxes, copying, filing, mailings, and phone calls.
• Maintain front desk inventory and communicate needs to staff.
• Support smooth office operation by prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
