Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a friendly and organized Patient Services Assistant to provide clerical and receptionist support within the practice. You will coordinate patient flow by answering calls, scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance information, collecting payments and coordinating tests or referrals.

You will support front office staff and maintain patient records with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Front desk customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to verify insurance information and enter demographics.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and data entry.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and patient confidentiality practices.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet patients, families, and visitors.
• Register patients and verify/update demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/procedures.
• Collect copayments and process referrals.
