Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative to serve as the primary contact for patients, families, and caregivers, handling check-in, paperwork, and basic clerical tasks. This onsite role supports an eight-site network, with standard Monday–Friday hours.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, accurate data verification, and collaboration with clinical staff to smooth patient flow. Onsite presence in Kirkland, WA is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year experience in customer service environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment.
• Effectively organize and manage time and tasks independently.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) clearly.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen patients arriving for appointments and check them in using an automated scheduling system.
• Distribute appropriate paperwork to patients, families, caregivers and clinical staff.
• Triage questions and forward to appropriate staff or department as needed.
• Perform general clerical duties including processing mail, inventory, and ordering supplies.
• Activate provider orders (Alliance Lab only).
• May schedule patient appointments as ordered by clinician.
• May facilitate patient flow and verify demographic, clinical and financial information with patient.
