Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, based in Seattle, is seeking a Patient Services Representative to serve as the primary contact for patients, families, and caregivers onsite at the South Lake Union location. You will manage check-ins, collect paperwork, and route inquiries to the right departments.

This role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting, with a focus on accurate data, respectful communication, and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months experience in customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Organize time and tasks independently.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with a mouse and basic computer apps.

Responsibilities

• Greets and screens patients arriving for appointments and checks them in using an automated scheduling system.
• Assembles and distributes appropriate paperwork to patients, families, caregivers and clinical staff.
• Triage questions and concerns from callers and forward to appropriate staff or department as needed.
• Performs general clerical duties including processing mail, taking inventory and ordering office supplies.
• May be responsible for the facilitation of patient flow.
• Verifies demographic, clinical and financial information with patient as required.
