Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is hiring a Patient Services Representative to be the primary contact for patients, families and caregivers at the South Lake Union site. You will manage check-in, paperwork distribution and triage inquiries in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year experience in a customer service environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment.
• Effective time and task management.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Greets and screens patients arriving for appointments and checks them in using an automated scheduling system.
• Assembles and distributes appropriate paperwork to patients, families, caregivers and clinical staff.
• Triage questions and concerns from callers and forward to appropriate staff or department as needed.
• Performs general clerical duties including, processing mail, taking inventory and ordering office supplies.
• May facilitate patient flow.
• Verifies demographic, clinical and financial information with patient as required.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Six months to one year customer service experience
