Job summary

Southern NH Medical Center is hiring a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will handle registration, scheduling, referrals, and insurance information in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will maintain HIPAA compliance, assist with documentation and payments, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting multiple front desk functions. Training and growth opportunities are offered within a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reception functions and administrative workflows.
• Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, register, check in, and check out patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, provide information, and schedule patient appointments.
• Enter, track, and manage referrals, including obtaining necessary authorizations.
• Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Process registration forms, consent documentation, and medical records accurately.
• Collect and reconcile patient copayments and maintain accurate daily balancing records.
• Scan, index, and maintain patient documentation.
• Assist with insurance requirements and communicate information to patients.
