Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Typing speed of 40 wpm preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a team.
• Responsive to feedback from supervisors.
• Professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Friendly, compassionate demeanor; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check in for appointments; verify insurance.
• Update patient information and medical records.
• Manage multi-line phone system and incoming communications.
• Scan documents into the EHR; maintain waiting area tidiness.
• Monitor schedules for appointments, no-shows, and cancellations.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
• Order clinic office supplies and manage cosmetics sales.
• Distribute mail and prepare for next day’s appointments.
