You will maintain a tidy reception area, manage schedules, assist with paperwork, and support front-desk operations, including processing co-pays and selling cosmetic products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm preferred.
• Attention to detail; ability to multitask and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties.
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Scans documents into electronic health record.
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter.
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record.
• Orders clinic office supplies.
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
• Distributes mail.
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.
