Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year experience performing billing, patient registration, and scheduling, medical insurance verification.
• Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Typing minimum of 35 words per minute required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients using the department's scheduling system accurately.
• Register patients via telephone or in person with professional & courteous service.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information; update systems as needed.
• Respond to patient portal tasks (appointments, faxes, emails).
• Assist with billing preparation and cash collection activities to meet department targets.
• Maintain reception area, office files and ensure HIPAA compliance.
