Job summary

Children’s National Hospital seeks a Clinic Operations Representative to provide patient services and administrative support in clinic operations. You will interact with families, physicians and staff, collect demographic data, assist with scheduling, and help ensure insurance verification and proper referrals are completed.

The role involves supporting multiple clinics, potential float assignments, and advancement toward Senior Clinic Operations roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in billing, patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Ambulatory services training required and competency assessments completed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients accurately using the scheduling system.
• Verify and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect co-pays.
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations as needed.
• Provide courteous front-line support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA-compliant communications.
