Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Clinic Operations Rep to provide patient services and administrative support in clinic operations. You will interact with families, physicians, and staff, collect demographic data, verify insurance, and assist with scheduling and billing in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience billing, patient registration and scheduling.
• Experience with medical insurance verification and screening preferred.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients using the department system.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorizations where needed.
• Collect co-pays and process payments with receipts.
• Answer calls and manage clinic communications per policy.
• Maintain filing, mailing, and document workflows.
• Support scheduling and coordination across clinics.
