Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience in billing, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification or insurance screening.
• Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients using department scheduling system.
• Register patients and collect accurate demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations where needed.
• Collect co-pays, deposits and payments; maintain cash controls.
• Answer phones, route calls, and manage emails per department standards.
• Prepare schedules for clinic sessions and ensure billing linkage for services.
