Job summary

United Medical Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to assist with referrals, orders for delivery and pickup, and to record patient demographics and physician information.

You will handle new patient intake, answer calls, troubleshoot patient issues, process payments and set up payment plans, check in patients for appointments, and send reminders. This is a full-time, on-site role with 36-40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably with patients.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with data entry accuracy.
• Team player and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient demographics and appointment information into databases.
• Answer calls and assist with referrals, orders for delivery and pickup.
• Troubleshoot patient issues as a company representative.
• Coordinate daily communications with therapists and physicians.
• Process payments and create payment plans.
• Check patients in for scheduled appointments and send reminders.
• Communicate with patient coverage changes.
