Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical experience in medical office setting is required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

• Insurance knowledge is required for certain tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and registrars patients for the outpatient clinic.
• Verifies eligibility and ensures all pre-authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications are obtained.
• Works closely with physician offices, Utilization Review and Business Office Departments.
• Performs other job-related duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Greets and assists visitors to the department; answers calls and attends meetings.
