Valley Health System is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in the physicians’ network, delivering excellent patient experiences through scheduling, registration, and front desk activities. You will collect accurate demographic and financial information to ensure timely revenue capture and smooth provider workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant work experience required; associate degree may substitute.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments and manage referrals within clinic guidelines.
• Greet patients, provide courteous service and collect demographic and financial info.
• Complete outpatient registration with accurate data in the Epic system.
• Explain payments due and process payments with cash, card or insurance verification.
• Answer phones promptly and document messages and prescription requests.
• Handle health information confidentially and support HIM processes as needed.
• Assist with cross-coverage in other locations and maintain office supplies.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the care team.
