Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients in the physicians’ network. You will handle scheduling, registration, and front desk duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, collecting demographic and financial data, processing payments, and coordinating with care teams. Strong customer service and computer skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant work experience required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments following clinic guidelines and offer alternatives as needed.
• Greet patients, provide documentation, and support the care team in waiting areas.
• Complete outpatient registration with accurate demographic and financial data in Epic.
• Obtain and verify insurance information and ensure proper data capture for compliance.
• Communicate payment amounts to patients and accept payments per policy.
• Handle telephone calls with professional greetings and accurate message taking.
• Support HIM with medical records requests and secure handling of patient information.
• Covers front desk duties at other sites as needed during staffing shortages.
