Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our Ohio office. You will greet patients, assist with intake, collect payments, and manage medical records while coordinating scheduling and visits with the care team.

The role requires 1+ years of healthcare admin experience, a high school diploma, and comfort with Microsoft Office and EPIC. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), and education reimbursement. This is an on-site position in Gahanna, OH.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and EPIC is preferred.
• Experience with medical office workflows, patient scheduling and records is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as they arrive and manage wait time.
• Assist patients with intake processes including copying required documents.
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and issue receipts.
• Manage cashier box and daily deposits according to policies.
• Process walk-in patients and visitors; schedule and reschedule appointments.
• Manage medical records, filing, scanning and calendar preparation.
• Ensure all correspondence is scanned or filed promptly.
• Process requests for medical records releases and maintain logs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
