Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care seeks a patient services coordinator to welcome patients, verify insurance, collect payments and schedule visits. The role requires strong communication, organization and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The position is full-time, with varied 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, in Gahanna, OH. Benefits are offered and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients have a positive experience during their visit, whether in-person, telehealth and/or over the phone.
• Greet patients and complete established check-in procedures; responsible for registration and data entry of patient information and insurance verification.
• Collect copays, deductibles and/or outstanding balances.
• Answer phone calls and emails from patients and COPC departments; direct or escalate inquiries as needed; schedule appointments.
• Perform clerical tasks such as distributing mail, filing, scanning, scheduling, data input, and support to office personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient data and HIPAA compliance.
