Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first contact for patients and families. You will verify and update patient demographics, insurance and financial information, assist with scheduling, and help patients enroll in MyChart.

You will communicate with the medical care team, collect copays, process payments, and maintain accurate EPIC registration. This role requires strong communication, organization, and a compassionate approach while safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Check patients in/out for visits and manage scheduling.
• Answer phones and address patient inquiries; assist with MyChart enrollment.
• Enter, update and validate demographic, insurance and financial data.
• Communicate important information to the medical care team.
• Collect and process copays and patient payments.
• Assist with paperwork and EPIC workqueues; handle referrals and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate scans of documents in EPIC and ensure data integrity.
