Job summary

Signature Health Inc. in Ohio seeks a Patient Services Representative to support patient registration, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments in the EHR. You will greet patients and families, collect copays, and ensure a positive, HIPAA-compliant patient experience.

The role requires 1 year of office or customer service experience and familiarity with EPIC, with preference for medical office or behavioral health settings. Evening hours may be required in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year office, customer service, or related experience required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Previous behavioral health or primary care setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance (Medicare/Medicaid) is preferred.
• EPIC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families upon arrival and check them in for appointments.
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage in the EHR.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate provider availability.
• Collect copayments and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Provide general administrative support such as scanning, faxing and mailing.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Manager, Patient Services.
