SunState Medical Specialists is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to provide administrative support to staff, patients, and physicians, ensuring high-quality, professional, and efficient service. This role sits between patients and clinical teams, handling inquiries and coordinating care to keep operations smooth.

You will manage patient flow, answer calls, assist with billing and insurance questions, and maintain accurate records and waiting room standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or busy healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle urgent matters and time-critical appointments.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of patient billing systems and related funding mechanisms.
• Familiarity with clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Provide administrative and general support to staff, patients and physicians to ensure high-quality service.
• Maintain patient service expectations and react to feedback to improve care.
• Direct patients and visitors and monitor the flow of patients appropriately.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and attend to patient queries.
• Assist with patient billing and insurance payments inquiries.
• Maintain and improve the patients’ waiting room environment.
• Keep patient and employee areas organized and well-stocked.
• Ensure sign-in and privacy protocol compliance for all visitors.
• Maintain integrity of patient records and scheduling notes.
• Schedule physician appointments considering availability and timeframes.
• Support physicians clinic visits by ensuring complete patient records.
• Admit and discharge patients around consultations and follow-ups.
