Job summary

SunState Medical Specialists, part of OneOncology, is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to provide administrative and general support to staff, patients and physicians, ensuring a high quality, professional and efficient service.

In this role you will be the essential link between patients and clinical teams, handling patient flow, scheduling, billing inquiries, and maintaining accurate records while upholding privacy standards across centers in Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused setting, medical preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills; able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with patient billing systems and clinical administration software; travel to other centers as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient flow, direct as appropriate, and handle inquiries while maintaining privacy.
• Answer calls promptly and respond to queries according to privacy policy.
• Maintain patient records, schedule appointments, and assist with admissions and discharges.
• Register new patients and ensure accuracy of personal and billing details.
• Support physicians and staff with clinic operations and referrals.
