SunState Medical Specialists in Florida is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to ensure a high level of patient service, anticipate needs, and respond to feedback. You will support physicians and staff, manage patient flow, and handle inquiries about billing and insurance.

In this role you will maintain patient records, schedule appointments, admit and discharge patients, and keep front desk and waiting areas organized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused environment (medical preferred).
• Handle urgent matters and time-critical medical appointments.
• Strong organization and communication skills; liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of patient billing systems and funding mechanisms.
• Experience using clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office.
• Collaborative approach with administration and other internal customers.
• Flexible work approach; travel to other centers as required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and respond to patient feedback and queries.
• Direct patient flow and maintain waiting room appearance.
• Answer phones promptly and assist with billing/insurance questions.
• Support physicians and staff as needed; assist with referrals and records.
• Schedule appointments; ensure completeness of patient records before/after visits.
• Register new patients and manage patient data accurately.
• Adhere to policies; participate in team huddles and problem solving.
• General administrative and patient support duties (document management, reports).
