Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Patient Services Associate to ensure a smooth front desk experience, greet patients at check-in, collect payments, and support scheduling and communications. You will verify insurance and assist with billing while maintaining accurate patient records in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of medical office experience, strong computer skills, and a patient-centric approach to delivering high-quality care and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination acceptable.
• 2–3 years of recent experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with EMR.
• Experience with coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors, register and check in, verify demographics and insurance.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances; schedule follow-up visits.
• Coordinate scheduling, reminders, and messages for patients and staff.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to visits; obtain pre-authorizations.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant, accurate patient records and support billing inquiries.
