The role requires 2–3 years in a medical office and strong communication, with a focus on compassionate patient service, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2–3 years recent medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with office billing, insurance and government payer regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register/check-in; verify demographic and insurance data.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments; coordinate with providers.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as needed.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances; process payments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; ensure a welcoming environment.
