Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. seeks a Patient Services Associate to greet and check-in patients, collect copays, verify insurance, and support appointment scheduling and billing.

The PSA helps maintain efficient front-office workflows and ensures a positive patient experience each day. Responsibilities include handling high-volume calls, coordinating communications among patients, providers, and staff, and maintaining accurate patient demographics and insurance details.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; healthcare experience preferred.
• 2-3 years recent experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and register/check-in, verify demographics and insurance.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate communications with patients and staff.
• Verify eligibility and benefits prior to visits; obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
• Prepare daily schedules, complete chart prep and support billing workflows.
• Provide compassionate customer service and HIPAA-compliant care.
