Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills, with strong telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment and prioritize tasks for multiple providers.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and coordinate intake to ensure smooth flow.
• Register patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays and time-of-service payments.
• Schedule appointments, follow-ups and referrals; prepare test requisitions.
• Answer phones, provide triage, and route messages appropriately.
• Update and scan patient records to keep charts current.
• Contact patients about missed appointments and manage no-shows.
• Input charges and verify demographics and insurance at checkout.
