Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in Mokena, IL seeks a detail-oriented coordinator to manage after-visit activities, AVS printing, and patient payment policies. You will collect payments, help schedule follow-ups, and ensure pre-visit clearance when needed.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to handle multiple priorities, and experience with insurance processes. Both full-time and part-time positions with comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma required.
• Prior experience and in-depth knowledge of insurance preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships with patients, physicians, staff and customers.
• Ability to balance priorities and resolve customer issues with independent thinking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all after-visit activities including collection, review and update of practice forms.
• Print After Visit Summaries (AVS) and communicate payment policies for current services and prior balances.
• Collect payments and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and procedures.
• Ensure pre-visit clearing for the patient on the date of service if not completed in advance.

Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating all after visit activities including collection, review and update of all practice-specific forms, printing of the After Visit Summary (AVS) communicating of payment policies regarding amounts due for current services and prior balances, collection of payments, assistance with scheduling follow-up appointments and procedures. responsible for ensuring pre-visit clearing for the patient on the date of service if these activities have not been fully completed in advance.

Required Qualifications : Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma required. Prior experience and in-depth knowledge of insurance preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers. Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to us independent thinking, sound judgement and creativity when resolving customer issues. Ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively handle challenging situations. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to use personal commuters and select software applications.

Work Shift Details:

Days - Variable weekday and weekend, Weekdays, possibly some weekends and evenings. Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri,; and rotating Wednesday/Saturday

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$18.70 - $23.38

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
