Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a detail-oriented front desk/registration professional to support patient intake, insurance verification, and billing-related communications. You will ensure accurate demographic data, collect payments, and guide patients through the financial aspects of care.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and proficiency with EPIC EMR and Microsoft Office in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage patient records to prevent duplicates and ensure safety.
• Register patients, verify demographics and insurance information; collect co-pays.
• Discuss and explain financial responsibilities to patients and refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate scheduling, test preparations, arrivals, and directions to the facility.
• Provide welcoming, professional service and assist patients with transportation, interpreter services, and accessibility needs.
• Monitor electronic health record queues and follow department processes.
