Job summary

UCSF Medical Center seeks a Practice Coordinator to be the public face of the Practice, coordinating with administrative, clinical and management teams to support operations and patient services. The role handles CRM messages, referrals, in-baskets, scanning, authorizations and billing while maintaining clerical operations with UCSF standards across campuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years related experience; or college degree with 6 months related experience.
• Pass fingerprints and be approved to handle cash if applicable.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with Outlook, Word and Excel; able to navigate multiple patient records systems.
• Ability to analyze situations, prioritize, and develop solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent the administrative team as the public face of the Practice and collaborate with administrative, clinical and management teams.
• Support functions of the administrative teams including CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, APeX in-baskets, scanning, filing, authorizations, and billing.
• Maintain routine clerical operations and communications; adhere to UCSF standards; be sensitive to patients, staff and providers.
• Assist with coordinating patient flow and information exchange between medical staff and departments to maximize unit efficiency.
