Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Practice Coordinator 2 to serve as the public face of the Practice and support operations across administrative, clinical and management teams. The role emphasizes customer service recovery and accurate information flow between medical staff and departments to maximize unit efficiency.

The position involves handling CRM messages, referrals, APeX in-baskets, billing and related clerical tasks, while adhering to UCSF standards and ensuring excellent patient interactions

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Pass fingerprinting and cash handling if applicable.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel; able to navigate multiple patient records systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the public face of the Practice and support operations.
• Manage CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals and in-baskets.
• Assist with scanning, filing, authorizations and billing tasks.
• Coordinate with administrative, clinical and management teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain routine clerical operations and adhere to standards while supporting patient care.
