Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families as they arrive in the clinic.
• Answer telephones, confirm appointments, and transfer calls to staff as needed.
• Check in patients and collect updated information to enter into the EHR.
• Assist with maintaining provider templates and appointment schedules.
• Keep front-desk areas organized and neat.
• Prepare charts and accounts daily as applicable.
• Check insurance eligibility and scan cards (Medicaid, Medicare, private).
• Collect co-pays and close out the drawer at day end.
• Explain Neighborcare's sliding scale policy to self-pay patients.
