Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and their families as they arrive in the clinic.
• Answer telephones, confirm appointments, and transfer calls as needed.
• Check in patients and collect updated contact and insurance information for entry into the EHR.
• Assist with maintaining provider templates and appointment schedules.
• Keep front-desk areas organized and neat.
• Prepare charts and accounts daily as applicable.
• Verify Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance cards.
• Collect co-pays and close out cash drawer at day end.
• Provide registration forms and instructions to new patients or those not seen in the last year.
• Schedule walk-in patients for same-day appointments.
